Tremendous opportunity within this newly created role, you as the Lead Management Accountant will focus, primarily on financial reporting (monthly and statutory) regulatory reporting and other duties as required by the Group Finance Director and Group Financial Controller.

Working closely with the Group Financial Controller and Operational Finance, of this successful Taunton based business services group, you will need to be able to work well in a small team and be able to perform under pressure with the expectation that this will be a fast paced role with strict deadlines to meet and stakeholders to support. Key Accountabilities

  • Support the Group Finance Director and Group Financial Controller in driving financial performance through value-added insight in management reporting and analysis through the provision of value add, quality financial and non-financial information.
  • Lead the process of continuous improvement of the financial and management accounting systems to make sure they are used in an optimal way.
  • Financial Analysis of clients, suppliers and competitors.
  • Preparation and presentation of Monthly Management Accounts, including all journal postings and balance sheet reconciliations including Group Consolidated Accounts
  • Production and analysis of P&L & Balance sheet with insightful commentary and analysis.
  • Management of Cashflow forecast & Bank reconciliations
  • Support annual budgets and reforecasts
  • Lead, manage and support the Annual Audit
  • Preparation of statutory returns, such as ONS Forms, CIS, VAT

You

It's anticipated that you will be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified and have experience in similar Management Accountant position. Displaying an excellent working knowledge of financial systems alongside a thorough understanding of financial processes and procedures.

In addition to the above you will be able to demonstrate solid decision making skills, be a great communicator with an eye for improvement and be able to evidence a good knowledge of management accounting processes and reporting.
