Company
International PLC based on the outskirts of Bath now seeks to appoint a Group Tax Manager. This role will be pivotal in managing and overseeing the tax affairs of the group, ensuring compliance with tax laws while helping to implement tax strategies that support the company's goals. You will work closely with senior leadership, business units, and external advisers to manage tax risk, optimise tax positions, and drive the group's tax strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Compliance & Reporting:
Lead the preparation and review of the group’s tax filings (corporate income tax, VAT, transfer pricing, etc.) and ensure compliance with all statutory obligations across multiple jurisdictions. Oversee tax provisions for financial reporting and tax disclosures.
- Tax Planning & Strategy:
Develop and implement tax strategies that align with the group’s overall business objectives. Work closely with senior stakeholders to identify opportunities for tax efficiencies and optimise the tax position of the business.
- Transfer Pricing:
Manage the group’s transfer pricing policies, including compliance with local regulations and documentation requirements. Conduct transfer pricing analyses and ensure intercompany agreements reflect current tax practices.
- International Tax:
Oversee international tax matters, including tax structuring, cross-border transactions, and international tax compliance. Liaise with global tax advisers and ensure effective management of withholding taxes, tax treaties, and other international tax issues.
- Tax Risk Management:
Monitor and manage tax risks, including those arising from tax audits, disputes, and changes in tax law. Provide advice and recommendations on mitigating potential tax liabilities and ensuring robust controls.
- Collaboration & Advisory:
Work closely with legal, finance, and operational teams to provide tax advice on various business initiatives, such as mergers & acquisitions, capital structuring, financing arrangements, and major transactions.
About You
- Qualified Tax Professional:
ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent qualification (or equivalent experience).
- Experience:
Proven experience in corporate tax, ideally within a group or multinational business. Strong experience in compliance, reporting, and international tax issues is essential.
- Knowledge of Tax Regulations:
Strong understanding of UK tax laws and regulations, as well as international tax issues. Experience with VAT, transfer pricing, tax compliance, and tax reporting.
