Our client is a leading and dynamic organisation headquartered in Herefordshire looking to appoint a recently qualified ACA into a Group Financial Accountant role.  Sitting as part of the group finance function, you will be responsible for external group reporting and cashflow forecasting and will lead important projects in this fast-moving environment as the Finance team continues working towards its aim of creating a world-class finance function.

 

Role

The Group Financial Accountant will be responsible for overseeing and managing the financial reporting of the entire group. This is a strategic position that will require a strong understanding of group consolidation, statutory reporting, and the ability to collaborate closely with senior management and stakeholders across different departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare consolidated group financial statements in compliance with UK GAAP and IFRS.
  • Manage the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Oversee intercompany reconciliations and group consolidation processes.
  • Provide analysis and insights into the group's financial performance to senior management.
  • Support the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with audits and liaise with external auditors.
  • Contribute to continuous improvements in financial systems, processes, and controls.

 

 

About You

  • ACA, ACCA Qualified
  • Strong experience in financial accounting and group consolidation.
  • Knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS standards.
  • As the “go-to” person for performance insight and financial navigation, you will have the ability to manage a very broad agenda, and single-mindedly ensure key objectives are delivered.  Excellent communication skills are essential as is the ability to liaise confidently and assertively across markets, functions and levels.
