Company

International business based on the outskirts of Bristol now seeks to appoint a Corporate Tax Manager to join its best in class tax team.  Working closely with the group finance team, you will be responsible for supporting the business with optimisation and guidance on direct tax matters while ensuring a solid position towards the tax authorities.  This role may appeal to a Manager/Senior Manager in Big4 seeking their first industry move or perhaps an individual who has already started to develop their in-house tax experience.

 

Role

We are now looking to appoint a Corporate Tax Manager to be part of the Group Finance  function ensuring tax compliance for UK and the EMEA region.  Reporting to the Head of Group Reporting, this is a highly visible role that will primarily be focused on corporate tax, however it will also touch upon VAT and employment taxes.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring all internal and external tax reporting deadlines are met
  • Preparation of complete and accurate corporation tax returns and calculation of tax payments for UK and EMEA companies within the group 
  • Supporting the financial control team with monthly tax reporting including year-end and half-year procedures
  • Supporting the central finance teams with tax forecasting
  • Manage local tax watch and anticipate impact on the business
  • Ensuring annual transfer pricing requirements are met
  • Supporting the VAT team as required with process improvements, compliance and product liability queries

 

About You

Likely a CTA or ACA qualified Accountant with relevant tax experience, you will be a strong communicator able to present confidently to senior level decision makers and an effective team player able to work effectively and collaboratively across the organisation.  We would welcome application from those looking to make their first move into industry from practice or perhaps those who have already made that first industry move.
